How does the interior-design process work?

A structured process makes creative decisions easier to understand and gives each stage a clear purpose.

Good interior design is not a sudden reveal. It develops through a sequence of decisions—beginning with how the space needs to work and gradually moving towards materials, atmosphere and detail.

01

Discovery

The process begins with your plans, requirements, priorities and visual references. A consultation and site visit help establish how you use the space, what is not working and what the design needs to achieve.

02

Initial planning

Furniture layouts come first because they influence circulation, electrical points, lighting and ceiling decisions. These technical plans create the structure on which the rest of the design is built.

03

Design development

Once the layout and technical foundation are resolved, mood boards and elevations develop the space as a complete design—from materials and joinery to colours, textures and key details. This is part of the full design process, not a standalone decorative service.

04

3D visualisation and specification

Photorealistic renders help you assess proportion, material combinations and atmosphere before implementation. The final package then brings the approved information together with a curated list of finishes, furniture and lighting.
